Michael Van Bodegom Smith, a Midwest native now calling Los Angeles home, is a composer, producer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist who loves exploring the spaces between different genres and mediums. From musicals and plays (both new and beloved classics) to television, film, indie bands to commercial hits, and his own original music, Michael genuinely enjoys any chance to work and create. His credits range from Hollywood productions like Strays and Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake, to familiar worlds like Star Wars Outlaws and Pokémon: Path to the Peak, and exciting independent original theater and concert music like Heartbreak Hospital, Kenya’s Symphony, and Hitchcock Lane. Michael holds a BA (BMU) in music composition from Columbia College Chicago and he is a proud member of the following organizations:

Outside of the entertainment sphere, you can find Michael training in MMA, sauntering around nature, diving into all sorts of video games, or mostly hanging with family and friends.
